Are you looking for a safe place because of your race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender, class, disability, beliefs, or other identities? As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm your inherent worth and dignity.
On December 8th, Carlisle Borough Council voted 5 to 2 to adopt the proposed Anti-Discrimination Ordinance. The support displayed by members and friends of UUCV over the past 5 months was amazing! We expressed our support through emails, calls, letters and attending Borough meetings. On the night of the vote over 45 of us SHOWED UP. We were not the only ones fighting for LGBTQ rights nor were we without opposition. In the end, however, the efforts of those who believe in equality and love won.
Our mission as an enduring liberal religious community in the Unitarian Universalist tradition is to transform lives and care for the world.
