Join us Sunday, January 14 at 10:30 am as we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Rev. Aija Simpson will be preaching about Dr. King’s challenge to our current moment. Come and enjoy contemporary arrangements of powerful spiritual music that helped fuel the American Civil Rights movement provided by Music Director David M. Glasgow and the UUCV choir. The children will hear a story provided by Jen Henry in Spirit Play called “Crow Boy” that encourages kids to think critically about bullying.
And the long awaited Capital Campaign kick-off and luncheon will take place immediately following worship. Stay for a short presentation of the potential packages, receive a booklet outlining the campaign steps and stay for lunch provided by UUCV.
Building our community starts with educating children. Start your weekend by joining us for Religious Education “Spirit Play” training on Saturday, January 13 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm in the RE classrooms. This training is a useful refresher for current volunteers and a great introduction for new volunteers. Lunch and childcare will be provided.
