The Inclusive Employment Program is Offering Free Sign Language Classes!

Location: Dining room downstairs (elevator available if needed)
Entrance Location: Door near parking lot with “Office” sign posted on the building; additional parking at the high school and convenience store across the street
1st 6 week Session Dates from March – May 2018: March 6 & 20, April 10 & 24, May 8 & 22
Participants: Available to all individuals ages 8 years and up. All children participating must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Babysitting will not be available for this session. You will need to bring a binder to hold the hand-outs (themed based sessions). Please bring binder and hand-outs to each session.

Class Capacity: 35 Participants…We ask that all participants commit to attending each class because so many people wish to sign up.

About the Instructor:
Jennifer Bitz earned a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education and a Master’s Degree in deaf education from Bloomsburg University. She worked as a teacher of the deaf at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. In an intensive communication support classroom, she taught students in kindergarten through third grade who had hearing loss and other disabilities. Prior to teaching in the classroom, Jennifer had an itinerant caseload of students in kindergarten through twelfth grade with a hearing loss. Currently, Jennifer enjoys her job at home taking care of her three children, while working part-time in children’s ministry, as well as, sharing her love of American Sign Language to both kids and adults through community sign language classes.
